A program of 10 reverse circulation (RC) holes for 1,806m has wrapped up at the Dukes, T3 and T4 prospects – all within 5km and 10km from the Silver Swan Nickel Mine north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The drilling program was designed to unlock further nickel potential and reflects Moho Resources’ (ASX:MOH) commitment to test the project area for komatiite hosted nickel sulphides.

Three holes were completed at T4 – intersecting 100m of ultramafic flows with spinifex and cumulate textured komatite, while another two holes were completed at T3 where more ultramafic lithologies were intersected.

At Dukes a soil sample program outlined a coincident nickel-copper anomaly overlying a magnetic high which is interpreted as ultramafic lithologies.

All three at the northern end interested ultramafic lithologies with minor disseminated sulphides overlain by massive gabro, while the four holes at the southern end hit over a wide of more than 200m ultramafic lithologies.

Meanwhile, Hole SSMH0150 intersected a more gabbroic lithology with over 10pc disseminated sulphides from 53m to 66m within the ultramafic sequence

Bolsters critical minerals strategy

MOH managing director Ralph Winter says the Moho team eagerly awaits the assay results of this program.

“This program further bolsters the company’s critical minerals strategy and increases the strength of our exceptional project portfolio.”

Next on the agenda

In terms of exploration, Moho plans to complete a heritage survey of the Dukes prospect and carry out a surface EM survey over the entire as well before setting out to evaluate historical EM surveys over T4.

A further RC drilling program will also be carried out at the Dukes prospect further down by the track, covering the full 2.5km strike length of the ultramafic sequence.

Infill and additional soil geochemical sampling over untested komatiitic sequences will be undertaken as well as modelling the geology and assays to test drilling over target areas.
