Moho is securing ground across Western Australia that is prospective for nickel-copper-platinum group elements.

This acquisition came about through an agreement with Whistlepipe Exploration for the acquisition of a granted exploration licence near Manjimup and certain technical information relating to six project areas over which the company has lodged 11 exploration licence applications for.

It previously reached a deal that will see Whistlepipe, which is lead by highly credentialed principals Morgan Frejabise and Jacob Paggi, offer geological and geophysical services across Moho’s project portfolio.

Moho Resources (ASX:MOH) notes that the granted tenement and exploration licence applications are located in the sparsely and underexplored ground within the prospective western and southwestern margins of the Yilgarn craton and the Albany-Fraser orogen belt.

These areas were identified using similar concepts and targeting parameters that led to the discovery of the exceptional Gonneville PGE-nickel-copper-cobalt-gold mineralisation within the Julimar mafic-ultramafic complex on the western margin of the Yilgarn craton.

“Moho is looking forward to commencing exploration for nickel and associated battery and precious metals within the granted licence near Manjimup and the application areas once granted,” managing director Shane Sadleir said.

“The proximity of the areas targeted by Whistlepipe within or close to zones of moderate nickel-copper-PGE prospectivity generated using Geoscience Australia’s mineral Potential Mapper data provides independent support for their mineral potential.

“It is also no surprise, given the discovery record of the Whistlepipe principals and their close involvement with the discovery of the Gonneville PGE-nickel-copper-cobalt-gold deposit at Julimar.”

The company is currently undertaking due diligence on the project information to enable completion of the transaction.

This includes a review of the granted exploration licence at Manjimup to enable exploration activities to begin as soon as possible.
