Kula’s DBGM Prospect is not only its first lithium drill target, but it has turned out to be a whole lot larger than previously thought, after soil sampling increased its strike length by more than 700m.

Latest surface sampling results are encouraging, with up to 102ppm lithium, and provide Kula Gold (ASX:KGD) with confidence that its exploration work at the Brunswick Project – in a renowned lithium district in WA’s southwest region only 45km from the world’s largest hard rock lithium mine, Greenbushes – is paying off.

Lithium, due to its high mobility in the weathering zone, is normally very low and these results are above background measurements.

The rock chip samples have been sent to the laboratory for multielement analysis, which includes not only lithium detection but additional pathfinder elements such as caesium, niobium, and tantalum.

KGD expects the results shortly as it plans to undertake a prospect-scale drone magnetic survey that will allow for the interpretation of zones and enable pegmatites to come to the near surface.

RC drilling update

“Today’s update is a solid advancement on the Brunswick Project, moving to our first lithium drill target with a 1.7km lithium anomaly, adjacent to the DBGM gold drill targets,” KGD CEO Ric Dawson says.

“Two styles of different targets in our next drill campaign will be really interesting”.

Once the drone magnetic survey is completed, Kula intends to carry out an RC drilling program, scheduled for Q2.

Hippy Lady East Target

Recent reconnaissance mapping and rock chipping has detected two anomalous tantalum readings of 46ppm and 14ppm.

This is the first highly anomalous analysis for Kula’s exploration team and encourages the team to carry out more mapping and rock chipping.

“The significance cannot be overstated on virgin ground,” the company said, adding that soil sampling will also be among the activities listed for this target area this quarter.
