Kula Gold has commenced reconnaissance RC drilling to test surface pegmatites at the DBGM Prospect at its Brunswick lithium and gold project in WA.

The project is in the Donnybrook-Bridgetown Shear Zone and is just 35km from the world’s largest hard rock lithium mine Greenbushes, in WA.

At DBGM the company has already defined a lithium soil anomaly to 1.7km length, and flagged a historical BHP diamond drill core with pegmatite identified at 73m depth along with 1m @ 51g/t gold from 39m which was never followed up.

Notably, airborne drone magnetics has also defined a structure below a lithium geochemistry anomaly and has generated drill targets coincident with lithium soil anomalies which will be tested as part of the drilling.

Exciting grass roots lithium project

Kula Gold (ASX:KGD) CEO Ric Dawson is thrilled to have started exploration on the exciting grass roots prospect.

“Our team has developed a model to target and now it is time to test it over the coming weeks,” he said.

“The combination of some very encouraging outcrop, geochemistry and geophysics ranks this high on our priority list and we expect the drilling to be completed by the end of May.

“We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this work with our shareholders once the preliminary portable laser induced breakdown spectroscopy and assay results are returned.”

The drilling will also test the geometry of the historical Mt Cara and Hunter Venture gold mine.
