Kanmantoo’s underground story continues to build with more high-grade copper

- Underground drilling at Kanmantoo delivers extensions to Kavanagh mineralisation
- Results demonstrate a material expansion of the East Kavanagh zone and greater understanding of the lode geometry
- Hillgrove will include the latest round of drilling into the 2026 resource estimate
Special report: Hillgrove has delivered another round of strong underground results from its Kanmantoo mine in South Australia, with high-grade copper intercepts in drilling across the Kavanagh lodes.
The intersections deliver scale and quality, with standout results including 9m at 1.92% Cu and 0.48g/t gold, 25m at 1.82% Cu, and 14m at 2.44% Cu from shallow to mid-depth positions in both the Central and East zones.
These hits are not one-offs.
Step-out drilling from the 750-level drill cuddy has confirmed extensions to the system – including the deepest intersection ever recorded in the Kavanagh Central lode – while infill holes tighten confidence ahead of future mining studies.
Several of the longer copper intercepts were assayed initially by XRF and are awaiting gold values, leaving potential upside still to come when full lab assays arrive.
Together, the intercepts grow the footprint of the East Kavanagh zone and sharpen the company’s grasp on lode geometry.
Drilling continues to chase the northern and vertical extents, adding momentum to a story that is increasingly pointing to more tonnes – and more metal – still to be drilled out beneath Kanmantoo.

Results for 2026 resource inclusion
Hillgrove CEO and managing director Bob Fulker said drilling across the Kanmantoo system continued to deliver, particularly from the expanding East Kavanagh zone.
“It’s encouraging to see this mineralisation grow, and we look forward to incorporating these excellent results into the 2026 Kanmantoo mineral resource estimate,” Fulker said.
Kanmantoo drilling continues on two fronts – stope definitions and resource building – with fresh metres into Nugent, Spitfire and deeper Kavanagh.
September added 7,324m, taking the YTD to just over 50,000m on the way to the 60,000m 2025 target.
Since the August database cut-off, another 15,675m have been drilled for inclusion in the 2026 resource.
After a record run-rate since May, the third UG rig has been demobilised.
