Excitement is building for the inaugural Future Facing Commodities Conference to be held in Singapore, on April 5 and 6 of this year, which will bring together the full spectrum of participants in the decarbonisation/energy transition theme.

From electric vehicle manufacturers to renewable energy, industrial technology, and critical mineral resource companies, attendees will get a comprehensive exposure to this ESG investment thematic.

“Singapore has evolved into the Asian hub for international finance and investment, so a conference of this type is perfect for Singapore and the region,” Tribeca Singapore head Scott Clements said.

“We believe that decarbonisation is a key long term ESG investment thematic and are excited to support an event of this nature here in our home market.”

Mingling with the biggest names in the business

It looks like the conference is already resonating with investors, who have registered in large numbers as they look towards a cleaner future with less reliance on fossil fuels.

ASX-listed companies attending include: BHP (ASX:BHP) Global Lithium Resources (ASX:GL1), Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA), Pan Asia Metals (ASX:PAM), Chalice Mining (ASX:CHN), Lithium Plus Minerals (ASX:LPM) and Arafura Rare Earths (ASX:ARU) among a host of others.

Major Indonesian miners, including $2 billion ASX-listed giant Nickel Industries, are also on the card.

Singaporean and regional investors, including fund managers, institutional, family offices and local brokers will have the opportunity to mingle with the companies during the conference day and evening cocktail functions.

Global industry experts confirmed to provide keynotes include:

  • Tribeca Investment Partners Singapore portfolio manager John Stover;
  • One of the world’s leading lithium market experts, Joe Lowry;
  • BHP Xplor vice president Dr Sonia Scarselli;
  • SRK Consulting (Kazakhstan) general director and corporate consultant (mining engineering) Mike Beare; and
  • Argonaut executive chairman and head of ECM, Edward Rigg.

Decarbonisation and ESG takes centre stage

Alongside over 90 exhibition booths, keynotes and company presentations, Tribeca is taking a leading role in the delivery of content, with expert panels on the big trends and ideas in future facing commodities to be a major feature.

There will be dedicated panel sessions on key topics such as Lithium, Rare Earths, Decarbonisation Materials, Investor Outlook, South East Asia and ESG technologies.

Uranium will also be featured with global companies Cameco Corporation, NexGen Energy, Global Atomic and Yellowcake PLC presenting.

It reflects a growing trend of Asian institutional interest in the Australian resources market, and battery supply chain players in particular.

Notably, the event is backed by the experienced Australian brains trust behind investment conference specialists Vertical Events, and enhanced by partnerships with Asia Pacific-based investment and advisory firm Tribeca and Perth stockbroker Argonaut.
