American car rental company, Hertz, has collaborated with British oil giant BP for the development of a national network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations powered by bp pulse – BP’s global electrification and charging solution brand.
BP Pulse is expanding its global network of high-speed charging for cars, light commercial vehicles, and trucks with a global target of more than 100,000 charges by 2030.
Roughly 90% of those will be rapid or ultra-fast chargers.
.@Hertz CEO Stephen Scherr on $HTZ and $BP teaming for an EV charging network: “Our ambition here is… to create a nationwide network in the [U.S.] where our customers will have seamless ability, without any anxiety, to get a charge on their car when and where they need it.” pic.twitter.com/9VPHXLLLEr

This deal is hot on the heels of an agreement made between Hertz and General Motors last week, whereby Hertz plans to order up to 175,000 EV’s from GM over the next five years.
It will encompass EV deliveries through 2027 as Hertz increases the EV component of its fleet and GM accelerates production of EVs broadly.
This plan is believed to be the largest expansion of EVs among fleet customers, the broadest, because it spans a wide range of vehicle categories and price points — from compact and midsize SUVs to pickups and luxury vehicles.

Growing Western Australia-based lithium company, Global Lithium Resources, has signed a non-binding MoU with Korea’s leading battery manufacturer SK On CO to explore future business opportunities including the development of downstream lithium assets.
SKO is one of the fastest-growing battery manufacturers in the industry, with battery production facilities operating in countries such as the US, China, and Hungary with a strong order backlog of 1,600GWh as of 2021.
The MoU will consider SK On Co for support for future capital raising’s, investment and off-take opportunities as well as opportunities for collaboration in EV and battery material supply chains.
Anson Resources has discovered new lithium-rich horizons at the Cane Creek 32-1 well at its Paradox Lithium-Brine Project in Utah, USA, which have potential to increase the Project’s recently upgraded JORC resource.
The new lithium-rich super saturated brines were found in Clastic Zones 43, 45, 47 and 49 during Resource-definition drilling into the deeper 121m thick Mississippian Units at the Cane Creek 32-1 well.
Notably, assay results from Clastic Zones 43, 45, 47 and 49 average 100ppm lithium which is ~17% higher than average grade of Clastic Zones 17, 19, 29 and 33 included in the recent Resource upgrade.
Drilling is now complete at Cane Creek and assays from the new Clastic Zones plus pending assays from the Mississippian units lead ASN to believe they have the potential to add tonnes to the Indicated and Inferred Resources.
PSC recently sold its 72.7Mt Arcadia lithium project in Zimbabwe to a subsidiary of lithium-ion battery material producer, Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co, for ~$466m net.
With the Arcadia transaction now complete, finding new projects became PSC’s top priority.
Today, it announced the expansion of its sub-Sarahan presence with an agreement to earn up to 51% interest in Omaruru, a lithium project in Namibia.
Under the agreement, Prospect will pay US$1m for 40% and US$560,000 for a further 11%, totalling an earn-in of 51%.
Further development funds will then be contributed on a pro-rata basis.
Field work has begun at the Horse Rocks Lithium project, about 8km west of Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) Mt Marion Lithium Mine on flank of same source granite with ‘Mt Marion-Style’ lithium potential.
Sampling is expected to take two weeks to complete and will be the first exploration for lithium in the Horse Rocks project area.
Concurrently, the Lord Resources technical team will carry out geological mapping and rock sampling to verify the historically mapped pegmatites, and expand known occurrences.
AM7 says it has secured the supply of essential utilities and entered into an agreement with respect to the use of land over the mining licence area at the Swanson Tantalum-Lithium Project in Namibia.
These licences have been procured in anticipation of a definitive feasibility study, the company says.
AM7’s subsidiary, Orange River Pegmatite (ORP) concluded a water supply agreement with Namibia Water Corporation, a corporation established in terms of section 2(1) of the Namibia Water Corporation Act, 1997 (NamWater).
NamWater is to supply 210 cubic meters of water per day from NamWater boreholes at Warmbad (roughly 21km north of the Swanson Tantalum/Lithium Project) utilising the proposed Swanson Mine Water Supply Scheme.
The Supply Scheme will be constructed by ORP to provision the supply of water to the Mining License.
