Exploration is beginning in earnest at Boadicea’s Koongulla tenements in the Paterson Province to advance the significant potential the company has in its sights to unearth the next major gold discovery.

A newly signed Land Access and Mineral Exploration Agreement enables Boadicea to progress ground exploration of the Koongulla tenements where a Telfer-dome lookalike has been identified.

The 612sqkm Koongulla project has potential to host the Paterson Province’s next major discovery, and be a significant company maker for Boadicea Resources (ASX:BOA).

Boadicea will focus initial exploration on the 7.5km long, 3km wide Koongulla Dome feature, which has the same scale and orientation of the 32Moz gold, 1Mt copper Telfer mine owned by Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM):

It is interpreted to be at a drill achievable depth between 200m to 250m metres, the company says.

Boadicea has now completed a Land Access and Mineral Exploration Agreement with the Western Desert Lands Aboriginal Corporation (WDLAC) who are representatives of the Martu Native Title Holders.

The Land Access agreement, and recently completed capital raising, will now allow BOA to progress exploration of known Koongulla targets, and potentially discover new targets.

On-ground exploration activities for the Koongulla Dome will follow the conclusion of the compulsory advertising period (11 October 2021) for Koongulla East application, and subsequent granting of the licence.

An upcoming airborne geophysics survey will focus on the new Koongulla East tenement, filling in known data gaps for the Koongulla Dome.

“Completion of the Land Access Agreement will enable Boadicea to progress ground exploration of its prospective Koongulla tenements,” Boadicea managing director Jon Reynolds says.

“In particular, Boadicea looks forward to progressing exploration of the much-anticipated Telfer-lookalike dome feature previously announced, which has the potential to be a significant company-making discovery.”
