Azure Minerals flags more 100m+ lithium intersections at Andover

Latest assays from Azure Minerals Andover JV project with the Creasy Group in WA have confirmed another two very broad intersections of lithium mineralisation.

To date, 33 diamond core holes have been completed for 11,150m and 66 RC holes completed for 12,164m.

The results from the AP0011 pegmatite included:

101.3m at 1.21% Li20 (ANDD0223) including a high-grade zone of 64.1m at 1.63% Li20 and;
100.2m at 1.24% Li20 (ANDD0221) including a high-grade zone of 28.0m at 1.86% Li20.

Hole ANDD0220 drilled near-surface mineralisation in the AP0012 pegmatite of 39.5m at 1.06% Li2O from 2m including 9.9m at 1.70% Li2O from 22m.

Additional intersections which confirm the lithium mineralisation remains open along strike to the southwest included:

13.6m at 1.12% Li2O from 153.7m and 41.2m at 0.90% Li2O from 177.4m (ANDD0224); and
32.0m at 1.50% Li2O from 150.7m (ANDD0225) including 10.6m at 2.34% Li2O from 160.2m.

Drilling continues along the +2,000m strike

This recent drilling confirms broad mineralised zones extend for more than 1,200m along strike and down-dip from surface to vertical depths in excess of 350m.

With the mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth, Azure Minerals (ASX:AZS) is continuing drilling along the +2,000m strike extent of the corridor to test along the northeastern and southwestern extensions of the AP0009, AP0010, AP0011, AP0012 and AP0014 pegmatites.

Notably, the Andover pegmatite swarm extends over an area of 9km (east-west) and up to 5km (north-south) and comprises hundreds of outcropping pegmatites with many containing high lithium grades identified from extensive surface sampling.

And just last week the company picked up a new exploration licence at the project, with its granted tenements now completely covering all identified pegmatites in the Andover district.
