Weststar Industrial (ASX:WSI) has added a further $2.7m worth of work to its order book after winning several contracts for the supply precast walls.
The most significant contract came from the same company that awarded Weststar a small contract for The Camfield Bar located at the iconic Optus Stadium in Perth.
Weststar’s Precast Australia business will supply prefabricated concrete to PACT Construction for the 17-level apartment building going up in the Perth northern suburb of Joondalup.
Precast Australia has also been awarded a contract to supply precast concrete for UWA’s new Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences building.
The “EZONE” UWA building will host three science laboratories, 11 teaching rooms, a café, and office space for 150 higher degree students.
Other contracts came from Italian industrial group Salini – which is a partner on the Forrestfield to airport rail link being built in Perth, Aussie commercial builder EMCO and building services firm WBHO Infrastructure.
“We are seeing a genuine uplift in the precast market with significant works which have been out to tender for a long time finally being awarded,” chief Robert Spadanuda told investors.
