Oil and gas investor BPH Energy recently took a stake in private medical cannabis company Patagonia Genetics.
This makes BPH one of the few ASX-listed players with exposure to South American cannabis, which it reckons has serious market advantages.
Big Star Energy (ASX:BNL) hit a 2019 high after confirming high grade helium anomalies at the Enterprise prospect in the US.
Helium is a critical to a bunch of modern technology applications, from telecommunications to nuclear power stations.
It also can’t be replaced, which means demand for the gas is poised to rise exponentially in the years ahead.
WA-focused gold explorer Classic is hitting serious gold at its Forrestania project.
Recent drilling at Kat Gap has shown that high-grade gold mineralisation “continues down-dip with increasing width”.
Examples include 1m grading 125g/t gold from 126m, include a larger 9m section grading 20.94g/t. Fantastic stuff.
Poseidon is taking advantage of burgeoning nickel prices and accelerating the restart of its Black Swan operations in WA.
CEO David Riekie said it was an important and critical time for Poseidon in the context of rising nickel prices.
“Poseidon has over the past month been de-risking and improving the bases for a positive restart decision,” he says.
“This has included the recent rounds of drilling at Silver Swan, which has enabled a significant upgrade in the inferred and indicated resource.
“Combined with the earlier drilling at Black Swan and the current underground RC drilling, Poseidon is seeking to build on the projects underlying fundamentals.”

Gold developer Kin was punished by the market after releasing a sub-par project study last Friday morning.
PFS numbers on its Cardinia project in WA — like a 17 per cent internal rate of return (IRR) on a base case $2,000/oz gold price — did not go down well.
Kin said the project, if developed, would process 11.4 million tonnes of ore at a relatively low grade of 1.09 grams per tonne (g/t) for 398,000 ounces over an initial 8.2-year mine life.
