It’s not something you see often, but the reflection of grow lights from a medical marijuana farm off fog in Arizona has made for a (somewhat eerie) but very colourful and vibrant sight.
The rare sight was caused by a combination of red and blue lights used by the 40 acre farm to help its plants grow reflecting off water droplets in the low-lying fog.
The ASX has had a similarly colourful week, responding to progress (albeit slow) in the US-China trade debacle.
Here are this week’s ASX Small Cap Winners & Losers:
ASX SMALL CAP WINNERS
TZ Limited (ASX:TZL) +80%
Investors were predictably stoked after TZ Limited was successful in the tender by Bank of America for a global roll-out of its Smart Lockers across a potential 54 locations.
The company will hold meetings with the US bank this month to finalise the supply contract and begin deployment of the lockers to each location.
The tender award includes both initial equipment sales and long-term support components for management of the entire fleet of lockers deployed globally.
Kalamazoo Resources (ASX:KZR) +61%
Shares in Kalamazoo made gains after the company received an $8m investment from well-known Canadian billionaire Eric Sprott and gold explorer Novo Resources.
The cash injection will power an expansion to exploration and drilling activities at Castlemaine and two other Victorian gold projects — South Muckleford and Tarnagulla Central.
Santana Minerals (ASX:SMI) +33%
Santana Minerals reported trench results of up to 70m at 0.65 per cent nickel at the Phu Lon nickel prospect within its Sayabouly project in Laos.
The company said the results provided further evidence of strong near-surface nickel mineralisation at the prospect.

ASX SMALL CAP LOSERS
Elixir Energy (ASX:EXR) -45%
Shareholders did not take kindly to Elixir Energy reporting that permeability and preliminary gas content results from its Ugtaal-1 coal seam gas well were at the lower end of expectations.
The company said the results were due to factors such as poorer than prognosed coal quality.
