Good morning, and welcome to Stockhead’s Top 10 at shortly-before-11-ish, which is meant to highlight the best (and sometimes worst) performing ASX stocks in morning trade using live data, to provide a short, sharp update to help frame the trading day by showing the biggest movers in percentage terms that have made announcements.

The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every ASX stock has started trading. Here’s what’s happened so far.

Markets were tipped to open flat this morning, after Wall Street did okay but kinda fizzled out on Friday.

Looking ahead this week, there’s a bit to keep an eye out for, but Wednesday’s the big day for local data nerds, as the all-important CPI figures are due to land, to fuel more calls for interest rate cuts or provide ammunition for everyone who wants rates to stay the same, depending on your outlook.

When the markets opened this morning, the benchmark has started off flat, with gains in InfoTech and Materials offset by a fall among Energy stocks.

So… it’s a case of ‘hurry up and wait’ this morning. I wonder if there’s anything good on telly…
