THE WEEK AHEAD
This week in ASX small cap land will be dominated by companies’ quarterly cash flow and activity reports – companies must submit them on or before Friday.
However, this is not “reporting season” strictly speaking – this typically alludes to companies’ annual results (or half yearly for those that use the calendar year rather than July 1 to June 30 as their financial year). These will be more evenly spread across the month of August with the deadline being the last business day of that month.
This week’s queue of listings is led by discount retailer Best & Less (ASX:BST) which is due to begin trading at 11am today having raised $60 million at $2.16 per share.
Potentially market moving economic data includes quarterly inflation data, due out on Wednesday at 11.30am, and our Export and Import Price Indexes on Thursday. On Wall Street, investors will be watching the meeting of the federal reserve on Wednesday night and US GDP for the June quarter on Thursday night.
