Oil & gas explorer Octanex (ASX:OXX) led the pack yesterday with an intra-day surge of more than 70 per cent on no news.

Among stocks with announcements, New World Resources (ASX:NWC) led the way after recording a big copper hit — 25.4m @ 5.2% copper equivalent — at its Antler deposit in Arizona, USA.

The stock is now up more than 10x over the past 12 months.
