Rise and Shine: What you need to know before the ASX opens

Arguably the biggest event of today from an ASX small cap perspective is the first IPO hitting the bourse in six weeks. Rapid test diagnostic maker Atomo Diagnostics (ASX:AT1) begins trading at 11am.
In economic data, the Australian Bureau of Statistics is releasing job statistics at 11.30am, including the unemployment rate. Economists expect only a slight rise this month. Also keep your eye out for the Reserve Bank’s foreign exchange transactions.

However it was dwarfed by a gold hit from Africa-focused Predictive Discovery (ASX:PDI), which made the biggest one-day gain on the ASX in more than three years — 733 per cent.
