Good morning everyone, and welcome to Thursday, 9 November.

Aussie shares are poised to open higher on Thursday as Wall Street fluctuated overnight to finish flattish.  At 8am AEST, the ASX 200 index futures was pointing up by +0.3%.  

 

On Stockhead today…

Western Australia is updating its official Battery and Critical Mineral Strategy for 2024-2030 and has released a consultation paper seeking feedback from “stakeholders” – the mining and minerals exploration industry – to help inform the way forward. Meanwhile, Piedmont Lithium has hit a milestone, turning in inaugural revenue and profit on lithium shipments.

Iron ore is a big dog’s game and juniors have been battling for time in the box seat since Gretchen Wieners tried to make fetch happen. So after dumping a controversial mega iron ore project, can the former Flinders Mines reinvent itself as the king of the iron ore juniors?

GTI Energy’s (ASX:GTR) is planning an initial drill program of up to 26-holes at Lo Herma to upgrade the maiden 71Mlbs inferred resource released during the September quarter. Drilling is also set to target exploration potential along trend in the Wasatch Formation and in the deeper Fort Union Formation which Cameco produces from ~10 miles west.

Yesterday’s Small Caps highlights:

It was a good day for Golden State Mining (ASX:GSM), up after announcing a series of pegmatite dyke “swarms” at Paynes Find Central and Paynes Find North in the Murchison region of WA with samples off to the lab for lithium analysis and drilling likely early next year.

Technology is improving monitoring of pregnancy with medtech company focusing on maternity care, HeraMED (ASX:HMD), today announcing a trial for up to 90 pregnancies for six to nine months at Gold Coast Hospital to evaluate clinical useability, patient satisfaction, and economic analysis of the HeraCARE and HeraBEAT platforms.
