Toys’R’Us (ASX:TOY) signalled its intention to buy back up to 10% of its fully paid ordinary shares, as the board reckons the price yesterday morning – a measly $0.023 – ”does not accurately reflect the underlying value of the company’s assets”.

A scout drilling program at Buxton Resources’ (ASX:BUX) Graphite Bull project in WA hit graphite mineralisation in all five holes.

“Buxton is delighted with this outcome, which coupled with recent and ongoing outstanding metallurgical testwork results, positions Graphite Bull as the most attractive graphite project in WA, possibly Australia,” it says.

“The world’s only official music credits database” Jaxsta (ASX:JXT) is buying Vampr, a social network for musicians and artists.

And investors responded well to Step One’s (ASX:STP) H1 2023 results, which saw the undie merchant rake in net profit after tax of $5.2m – a 238% increase on the pcp.

It has $32.6 million in cash and no debt.

US aluminium giant Alcoa has pulled out of a deal to develop FYI Resources’ (ASX:FYI) high purity alumina project in Perth, WA.

The now scrapped agreement would’ve seen Alcoa acquire 65% of the project by spending $US243m on project development.

The project now reverts to FYI, who “will develop an alternative plan and schedule” for development.
