Hawthorn Resources (ASX:HAW) closed 50pc higher after announcing board changes – non-executive director Dr Tyrwhitt is set to retire at the end of his latest three-year term.

At the latest AGM, shareholders of HAW overwhelmingly appointed Joseph Corrigan as a director.

And Energy World Corporation (ASX:EWC) announced plans for a non-renounceable pro-rata entitlement offer to raise $54.5m to refurbish its gas processing facility at Eromanga and bring it back into production, which sent its shares soaring 25pc.
