Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s taking an ill-timed nap today?

Those coming back to work today probably know all too well that braindead ‘I’m already planning an arvo nap’ feeling you get. But it could be worse.
Take this lady, who was trapped in a store overnight after she fell asleep testing a display mattress.
Local police, who were called to escort the well-rested punter out of the shop, called it “the best mattress endorsement we’ve ever heard”.
There’s certainly nothing relaxed about global markets as tensions between the US and Iran escalate.
Notably, oil prices rose by 3 to 3.5 per cent on Friday after a US air strike killed a top Iranian military commander and raised concerns of disruptions to Middle East oil supplies.
In morning trade, the ASX200 fell 0.59 per cent to 6,693.6 points and the Small Ords 0.67 per cent to 2,913.2 points.
Our #1 morning mover was pet pot purveyor CannPal (ASX:CP1), which has won an exclusive global licence to commercialise a CSIRO micro-encapsulation technology for animal health markets.
“It’s a highly effective technology with unmatched stability and protection capabilities, enabling us to deliver hemp and cannabis compounds to pets in a new and innovative way,” Cannpal boss Layton Mills says.
Investors agreed, sending the stock up 52 per cent in morning trade.

Fintech Sezzle (ASX:SZL) shares went into freefall after the California Department of Business Oversight (DBO) decided not to approve the company’s acquisition for a California Financing Law licence to make loans.
The DBO stated that Sezzle had engaged in “illegal unlicensed lending in the state”, the company said Friday.
That downward trend continued today, with the stock losing another 16 per cent in morning trade.
