You’ve heard of earthquakes and storms — but you probably haven’t heard of ‘stormquakes’.
Scientists this week have christened waves birthed from energy in sea storms with the befitting name. And between 2006 and 2015 there were 14,077 of them.
If you hear ‘stormquake’ in the future to describe share market activity now you know what it means.
You probably won’t be hearing that today with the markets being quiet. Nevertheless, the ASX Small Ords is down 0.27 per cent to 2,874 and the ASX200 is down 0.40 per cent to 6,658.
Going up
Hyundai customers can now sign up to Collaborate’s (ASX:CL8) car subscription software via it’s dealing network. Shares are up 44 per cent.
The company once known as Alchemia has re-entered the ASX as Australian Primary Hemp (ASX:APH) and its gained 36 per cent. A few years ago it was a biotech but failed a clinical trial and fell; but as its name suggests its now a hemp producer.
