The ASX Small Ords was up 17 points or 0.6 per cent to 2,824 at 12.40pm AEST.

GOING UP

Respiratory tech developer Rhionmed (ASX:RNO) rose 17 per cent to a three-year high of 27c this morning, continuing a recent upward trend, after it released a positive company update this morning.

Rhinomed told investors that a deal with US medical cannabis provider Columbia Care to distrubute its “Nasally Delivered Cannabis” solution would close this month.

The company’s Mute technology, which is an anti-snoring device, has been the fastest-growing product in the Nasal Strip category in the US, growing at 299 per cent during the period. It is sitting as the fifth most popular brand overall.

Intrepid Mines (ASX:IAU) shares are up 31 per cent this morning to an intraday high of $1.05 after launching a takeover offer for gold play A1C Resources.

The tie-up could result in a cashed-up play with dominant land position in an under-explored Western Australian copper and gold region.

Intrepid is offering one share for every three A1C (ASX:A1C) shares in an off-market takeover bid, with Intrepid and A1C shareholders to own 36 per cent and 64 per cent of the combined company, respectively.

Shares in Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) are up 13 per cent to 1.7c after telling investors its Chicken Ranch was going gangbusters.

The first tranche of results from recent air core drilling at its Chicken Ranch prospect were released, revealing further high-grade gold mineralisation.

It was a similar story at Gascoyne Resources (ASX:GCY), which also reported high-grade gold results. Its shares were up 31 per cent to an intraday high of 36c.

It told investors that the first ever RC drilling at the Tanqueray prospect, only 1.8 km north of Gascoyne’s mill at Dalgaranga, had intersected significant very high grade visible gold mineralisation.

Marenica (ASX:MEY) lost 25 per cent of its share price value this morning, dropping to an intraday low of 9.4c.

The company announced this morning it had raised $1.2 million in a cap raise. 11.8 million shares were placed at an issue price of 10cps, causing the tumble.
