Losing your licence is tough on anyone but Perth woman Jaymee Coady is that desperate she wants someone to save her.
She put an ad on Facebook Marketplace earlier this week with a simple offer: “$300 cash in hand. $100 a demerit point. Only have 1 point left, need someone to take 3 points for me”.
Is this illegal? WA police have said posting the ad technically was not but knowingly nominating someone else for an offence was. Nevertheless, the post is gone.
After a positive start to the week our markets took a step backwards today. The ASX Small Ords fell 0.77 per cent to 2,888 points and the ASX 200 fell 0.58 per cent to 6,710 points.
This followed the US market falling after investors hoped Donald Trump’s speech would be concilitory towards China and Iran but it was the opposite and to top things off there is now an impeachment inquiry.
In data today, skilled internet vacancies fell by 0.1 per cent. But more broadly quarterly job vacancies will be out tomorrow.
Going up
IODM (ASX:IOD) capped off a 12-month rise of nearly 700 per cent with another 20 per cent rise today. It announced sales growth and revealed Western Union as its major referral partner.
Also up today is Cogstate (ASX:CGS), which had no new news but released a video with a Japanese distribution partner and its up 16 per cent. It also clarified an investor concern.

Few of today’s losers had substantial news, although Ardiden (ASX:ADV) fell 14 per cent after releasing its annual report.
Gold and copper explorer Tanga Resources (ASX:TRL) fell 17 per cent.
