Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s on the right track today?

For years, Tesla has been accused of ‘talking the talk without walking the walk’ but its quarterly surprised its critics.

Analysts expected losses of 42 cents per share but adjusted earnings per shares were US$1.86. The company confirmed its Model Y crossover will be launched next year and will soon announce the location of its European Gigafactory. Shares surged over 20 per cent in after market trading.

Back Down Under and our markets aren’t quite surging as high but it is a good day nonetheless. The ASX Small Ords up 0.55 per cent to 2,885 while ASX 200 up 0.56 per cent to 6,711.

Going up

Today’s biggest winner was Novita Healthcare (ASX:NHL) which jumped 64 per cent. It got the green light to deploy its technology in the US this quarter.

CSG (ASX:CSV) climbed 29 per cent after receiving a $140 million takeover bid from Fuji Xerox.
