The Small Ords index finished Thursday on a positive note, gaining 40.1 points, or 1.3 per cent, to 3,122.3.

The Emerging Companies index tracking micro-cap companies was also up 0.96 per cent to 1,906.1 while the ASX200 put on 77.5 points to 6,756.7.

Announcements

– GWR Group (ASX:GWR) dipped 3.28 per cent to 29.5c despite achieving a key milestone with the successful commissioning of crushing equipment and the processing of first ore at its C4 iron deposit. High grade run of mill ore stocks are now being built for crushing with the first ore shipment expected in January 2021.

– PlaySide Studios (ASX:PLY) closed up 50 per cent to 31c on its first day of trading on the ASX. The company is one of Australia’s largest independent video game developers with FY2020 revenue growing 56% on FY2019.

– Sultan Resources (ASX:SLZ) is continuing drilling at its Tucklan project in the east Lachlan Fold Belt in New South Wales. The company has drilled six of up to 12 reverse circulation holes and has secured a diamond rig to finalise some of these holes. Sultan has also finalised the induced polarisation survey at the Cadia skarn-style target at the Razorback project.

– Netlinkz (ASX:NET) raised more than $15.8m to repay outstanding convertible notes, a portion of funds drawn under existing loan arrangements and for general working capital. Half the funds were raised through equity funding and the other half through debt offset arrangements.
