Last Orders: ASX back in the red today copping an 0.6 per cent hit

The ASX is pulling off a near perfect imitation of a roller coaster, pulling back 0.6% following yesterday’s 1.4% gain and Monday’s 1.8% fall, or an overall drop of 1% for the week.

The ASX 200 closed at 7,299 while the ASX Emerging Companies Index closed at 2,102 – a drop of 0.39 per cent.

Only tech and resources closed up with gains of 1.1% and 0.91% respectively while energy was the worst performer with a 1.23% retreat.

The top stock was consumer electronics company TTA Holdings (ASX:TTA) on no news today.

Horticultural company Costa Group (ASX:CGC) announced it was buying 2PH Farms for approximately $200 million in cash. 2PH is the largest citrus grower in northern Australia with 1,474 planted hectares of citrus and 240 planted hectares of table grapes.

Cycliq (ASX:CYQ), a microcap stock that sells bike dash-cams, received a legal claim against it in the High Court of Hong Kong from former partner Glory Horse Investments for US$393,924.25. The company says it is defending the claim.

Investment company Auctus (ASX:AVC) announced a $10 million capital raising. The proceeds will facilitate growth in assets under management, in particular its fund focused on US college student housing.

RMA Global (ASX:RMY) – a real estate platform operator whose offerings include the Rate My Agent website – announced that its platform had reached 122,000 US real estate agents. The company is targeting 200,000 agents by the end of this calendar year.

Cannabis stock Althea (ASX:AGH) made the inaugural export of products destined for sale in South Africa. This market is estimated to be worth US$667 million by 2023.

Liberty Financial (ASX:LFG) revised its profit forecast for FY21. It expects to make $220 million subject to any impairments and is tipping a 24 cent per share dividend.
