Last Orders: ASX 200 finished Friday on a high after a rollercoaster week

Around 1 million residents of some inner-Sydney suburbs are to stay at home until next Friday, after the latest government-imposed lockdown.

The restrictions will begin at midnight today, and last until midnight on Friday, July 2.

To markets, the ASX 200 has finished in positive territory today, up by 0.53 per cent.

In a volatile week for the market, the index saw three down days and two up days – and finally finished the week 0.75 per cent lower.

Boral (ASX:BLD) jumped 6 per cent today after Seven Group (ASX:SVW) upgraded its takeover offer from $6.50 to $7.30 a share, on the condition that Seven can secure 29.5 per cent of the company by July 2. As of today, Seven has managed to gain a 24 per cent stake in Boral.

Computer memory and semiconductor stock Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT) rose by 20 per cent after reaching a major development milestone in its OxRam microchip, three months ahead of schedule.

Commercial vehicles aftermarket company, Supply Network (ASX:SNL) said its full year guidance for FY21 is expected to be around $162 million, with profit after tax of around $13.5 million.

Aviation parts company, PTB Group (ASX:PTB) will acquire United Turbine from Continental Aerospace Tech for approxiamtely $4.3 million, which will be funded from PTB’s available cash.

Gold exploration company, Discovery Africa (ASX:DAF) has commenced the initial field works at the Chulitna Project in Alaska, US. The project comprises 199sqkm of granted mining claims containing multiple prospect targets including gold, silver, tin, copper, and base metals.

Cybersecurity company, Family Zone Cyber (ASX:FZO) will raise $23 million to acquire Net Refan, an edu-tech provider in the US with 450,000 students.

Seafarms Group (ASX:SFG) lost 25 per cent today after completing a $92.5 million placement to immediately commence the construction of its Project Sea Dragon Stage 1a in northern Australia.
