Exploration minnow MRG Metals (ASX:MRQ) has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tianjin Lanqi Materials Company (LANQI) for a joint venture operation on its Mozambique Corridor Sands projects.
LANQI will invest all funds necessary to develop the initial mining operation and all subsequent funds for mine expansion either on the initial Corridor project or subsequent Corridor projects.
They’ll also guarantee that the total output of the HMC in the initial Corridor project shall be not less than 100,000 tpa at 18 months from the date any mining commences, and that the total output of the HMC in initial Corridor project shall be increased to 200,000 tpa at or before 3 years from the date any mining commences and to 400,000 tpa at or before 5 years from the date any mining commences.
Both parties will sign a JV agreement upon or before completion of due diligence period that parties will set up a JV company in Mozambique owned 75 % by LANQI and 25 % by MRG, achieved upon first production.
Melodiol Global Health’s (ASX:ME1) is making good progress on securing the key European Good Manufacturing Practice (EU GMP) licence that will allow it to export cannabis to the lucrative markets of Australia and Europe.
The company is working with leading North American regulatory and scientific cannabis consulting agency CannDelta to advance the licensing process, which it describes as “well progressed”, for EU GMP – a minimum standard that a medicines manufacturer must meet in its production processes before it can export to several major global markets.
On the back of a major $26.96m financial endorsement from the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC), West Wits Mining (ASX:WWI) has wrapped up the updated definitive feasibility study (DFS) for its Qala Shallows deposit and increased the recovered gold tally by a massive 38%.
Production rate increases, a life of mine increase and 236,000 extra ounces of gold, among other improved metrics – not a bad day at the office for the Africa-focused miner.
Cosmos Exploration (ASX:C1X) has identified three priority target areas for lithium exploration from some remote-sensing and geophysical surveys undertaken on its prospective Lasalle lithium project in the James Bay district in Quebec, Canada.
“Multiple targets are now emerging with many similarities to the lithium-bearing pegmatites on Patriot Battery Metals’ (ASX:PMT) neighbouring Corvette Project justifying our recent expansion of the project area,” executive chairman Jeremy Robinson said.
And online retailer Redbubble (ASX:RBL) announced that its US subsidiary, Redbubble Inc, has received two favourable decisions from a US Court in the ongoing litigation commenced by Brandy Melville and Atari relating to alleged intellectual property infringement.
The court agreed that Redbubble cannot be held contributorily liable when third parties misuse Redbubble’s service to infringe without the company’s knowledge.
In the Atari case, the court upheld the district court’s judgment in Redbubble’s favour.
