Polymetals Resources (ASX:POL) takes the cake today, announcing a bunch of thick high grade drill hits at the newly acquired Endeavour polymetallic mine in NSW including 81m @ 19.5% ZnEq from 77m to end of hole.
POL says all six holes hit the good stuff, with near surface mineralisation grading up to 13.9g/t gold, 2,020g/t silver, 12% zinc and 17% lead.
The program was designed to test the unmined, near surface Level 1–2 Sulphide (North Lode) zone – which will underpin a restart strategy for the mine which was mothballed by previous owner Toho Zinc in 2019 due to depleting reserves after ~37 years of operation.
32.2Mt of ore grading 8.01% zinc, 5.04% lead and 89.2g/t silver had been mined and processed to that point, with a 16.3Mt resource remaining when POL bought the project.
“Once the rest of the drilling results come through POL will work to establish sufficient ore reserves “to support recommencement of operations and long-term economic production at Endeavor,” the company said.
BMG Resources (ASX:BMG) has unveiled a maiden 518,000oz resource for the Abercromby project in WA, delivered at a discovery cost of just $8.35 per ounce.
The resource comprises 354koz @ 1.17g/t Au (open pittable) and 164koz @ 3.09g/t Au (underground) at the Capital deposit, with 68% in the higher confidence indicated category.
70% of ounces are within 200m of surface, with mineralisation ‘open’ at depth and along strike.
BMG plans to get started on mining studies, alongside more drilling at Capital and other nearby targets.
Lake Resources’ (ASX:LKE) says its lithium extraction technology partner, Lilac Solutions, has produced 2,500 kilograms of lithium carbonate equivalent at Project Kachi in Argentina.
LKE said it was extracted with 80% recovery, 90% plant uptime, 1,000 times less land, and 10 times less water than conventional aluminium-based absorbents.
Alaskan explorer Felix Gold (ASX:FXG) raised $2.8 million in a strongly supported placement to fund exploration drilling at its NW Array gold discovery within its Treasure Creek project – with plans including a 40 RC hole, 3,500m infill drilling campaign designed to “delineate a maiden resource with near-term development potential’.
Also on the lithium front, Argonaut Resources (ASX:ARE) has hit thick pegmatites from surface at its Higginsvile lithium project in WA, with results including 30m from surface in drill hole DSRC022, and 36m from surface in drill hole DSRC023.
And Clinical-stage biotech PharmAust (ASX:PAA) has received additional monepantel (MPL) tablets to ensure it has enough availability for its Phase 1/2 Motor Neurone Disease/Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (MND/ALS) trial and future human trials.
The trial is kind of a big deal for the ~350,000 people affected and 100,000 people killed by MND annually.
The total MND/ALS addressable market is US$3.6 billion per annum with current ALS drug on the market Riluzole already reaching ~US$1 billion in annual sales.
