US crypto news: Bitcoin tops $43,000 as volatility persists

Bitcoin briefly traded above the $43,000 per unit mark on Tuesday as cryptocurrency markets searched for a price floor amid cracking volatility.

The move lifted Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano all above 4%. Total market capitalisation rose to more than $2trn (£1.5trn) for the first time since 7 January.

UK crypto news: BTC short squeeze ‘likely’ in near term
