UK-based oil and gas explorer Doriemus (ASX:DOR) rose by 107 per cent off the back of a $3 million capital raising.

Cogstate (ASX:CGS), one of the few ASX stocks fighting Alzheimers, rose after the FDA approved the first ever drug shown to fight Alzheimers head on (as opposed to merely treating symptoms).

In resources, the top winner with news was Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR). The gold junior revealed the results of ore processing trials which could boost gold grades, reduce processing costs and increase potential profits.
