Recent ASX debutant BPM Minerals (ASX:BPM) benefitted from some mining ‘nearology’ to post an intraday gain of 162 per cent.
The company announced a $1.5 million share placement and said it is fully funded with around $5m in cash to start drilling at its three projects — Hawkins, Ivan Well and Rhodes — that were pegged prior to the massive lead-zinc discovery by Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) right next door.
And another resources IPO was also near the top of the winner’s list, as Lithium Energy (ASX:LEL) made a stellar debut to close 85 per cent higher at 37c.
With lithium-related interests in Argentina and Queensland, the company is a spin-off from Strike Resources (ASX:SRK) in what now looks like a canny investment from the first lithium bull run a few years ago. Stockhead’s Josh Chiat has more here.
