WA gold explorer Lefroy Exploration (ASX:LEX) rose after its latest exploration update at its Burns prospect in which it said it hit visible gold and had intersected 18m of magnetite-sulphide altered porphyry to end of hole with the visible gold appearing in a 2m interval from 127m. It also said more exploration results were coming next month.

Digital Wine Ventures (ASX:DW8) rose after signing an MoU with eBay whereby the pair would negotiate to allow wineries using DW8’s platform to list on eBay.

Expense management software 8common (ASX:8CO) rose after its latest company update.

And pet services business Mad Paws (ASX:MPA) finished its inaugural trading day 20 per cent higher after rising as high as 40 per cent higher when it entered the bourse.

The biggest loser today by a wide margin was Canadian focused coking coal exploration company Atrum Coal (ASX:ATU).

It shed more than two thirds of its value after telling shareholders due to dramatic changes to the Alberta provincial government’s coal policy, which threaten the viability of its project, it has paused a pre-feasibility study for its Elan project and halted all site activities.
