Today is the deadline for ASX stocks to lodge half yearly results. The biggest winners included Clothing manufacturer GLG Corporation (ASX:GLE) and wave energy microcap Carnegie (ASX:CCE).

WA gold and copper explorer AIC Mines (ASX:A1M) rose after its latest exploration update.

It recorded hits at its Lamil project including 1.41m at 0.05 per cent copper from 98.6m and 4.92 at 0.11 per cent copper from 163m.

But with the ASX dropping over 2 per cent today winners were the exemption, rather than the norm.

Recently listed software stock Nuix (ASX:NXL) was one of the biggest laggards. It fell after its half yearly results – its first since listing on the ASX.

Orica (ASX:ORI) also dropped with a market update and news its CEO was stepping away after 6 years in charge.
