Stocks highlighted in yellow rose after making announcements.
WINNERS
Today’s top winner was telehealth software company Oneview Healthcare (ASX:ONE), which more than doubled today.
The company inked a US distribution deal with Korean tech company Samsung for its bedside digital services for patients, including its Cloud Start product.
Gold play Manuka Resources (ASX:MKR) climbed after an upgrade to the resource estimate for its Mt Boppy gold project.
Another mover was Silver Mines (ASX:SVL). While it had no news of its own today, it is one of the few pure play silver stocks that has often had solid trading days following jumps in silver prices.
Today though, some in the market are attributing to the wallstreetbets effect.
The traders on the bulletin board that had success with GameStop have highlighted the silver market as their next target.
LOSERS
Mineral sands play MRG Metals (ASX:MRQ) fell after a capital raising.
Meanwhile, Myanmar Metals (ASX:MYL) was halted after 40 minutes of trading pending an update on the political situation in Myanmar.
