Closing Bell is Stockhead’s daily recap of the ASX’s biggest movers – the winners and losers alike.
Data is taken at the market close which today was at 2.10pm (AEDT). It’s earlier than usual today due to New Years’ Eve.
Stocks highlighted in yellow rose after making announcements.
Today’s winners with news were all from the oil and gas sector.
One was Icon Energy (ASX:ICN), which announced operations had recommenced at its gas project in the Cooper Basin.
Another winner was BPH Energy (ASX:BPH), a holding company with investments in energy, resources and biotech. One of its investments, Advent Energy, unveiled a $6.5 million capital raising and BPH rose but has entered a trading halt until Tuesday.
