ASX Small Cap Lunch Wrap: Who’s doing better than Coca-Cola today?
News
Cristiano Ronaldo is a man of great talent and influence for Juventus and Portugal.
Case in point, his two-goal display for the reigning European champions against Hungary last night, or the credibility he lent to the goofy Japanese smile massager Pao.
So to can his wizardry work the other way, as Coke found out yesterday when the health-conscious Portuguese striker tossed a bottle of the Euros 2020 sponsor aside and told a crowd of journalists to “drink water”.

Cue a $5 billion hit to Coca-Cola’s American stock, an implosion not seen in the sports endorsement industry since Zion Williamson’s shoes spontaneously combusted along with the Nike share price.
No such issues for the broader ASX this morning, which is continuing to move upwards on record levels, with the ASX200 index collecting 17.30 points to climb 0.23% to 7396.80.
The All Ords was up 11.40 points to 7644.40 (up 0.15%), with energy and utilities the top performing sectors and only materials and information technology in the red.

New nickel explorer Lunnon Metals (LM8) was the top small cap this morning, climbing more than 50 per cent upon listing, continuing the good early run for recent metals IPOs.
Lunnon is zeroed in on the nickel sulphide space, boasting ownership of the Foster and Jan nickel mines in Kambalda, both formerly operated by Western Mining Corporation.
Following a $15 million IPO, it is well funded to manage a major drilling program across mines that have not seen serious exploration drilling in decades.
South Australian copper-gold explorer Petratherm (ASX: PTR) soared on news it had acquired a new Iron-Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) project in the same neighbourhood as Coda Minerals and Torrens Mining’s hot Emmie Bluff discovery.
Petratherm expects the exploration licence at the Woomera project later this year and is reviewing open file magnetic and gravity data.
Woomera is only a stone’s throw from some historic hits, with WMC (which discovered BHP’s Olympic Dam deposit) returning 62m at 0.33% copper from 864m in 1980 to the north of the tenement area, and more copper intersections identified nearby around a decade later by MIM.
Lithium developer Firefinch (ASX: FFX) was up after inking a binding term sheet to jointly develop its world-class Goulamina Lithium Project in Mali with Chinese major Ganfeng.
Ganfeng will pump $US130 million into the development and arrange a $US64 million debt package to get the project off the ground in exchange for a 50 per cent share of the development.
Goulamina has been touted as the next lithium project of scale, with a DFS outlining a 436,000tpa spodumene concentrate operation with a mine life of 23 years.
