Lunnon Metals Ltd owns the highly prospective Kambalda Nickel Project, in the heart of one of the world’s most famous nickel camps – the Kambalda Nickel District, which has historical production in excess of 1.4 million tonnes of nickel metal since its discovery by WMC Resources Ltd in 1966.

Lunnon Metals listed on the ASX in June 2021, raising $15 million and has already commenced an aggressive exploration programme seeking to grow its Mineral Resource which currently stands at 39,000 tonnes of nickel at 3.2%. The Company has access to over 350 km of historical diamond core from the WMC era (pre 2001) which offers the opportunity to grow the Mineral Resource in parallel to, and independent of, the success of the drilling campaign.

Located just 25km south of the BHP Nickel West Concentrator and surrounded by existing mine infrastructure, the opportunity presented by two previous mines, Foster and Jan, which combined produced over 90,000 tonnes of nickel during their operational lives, together with the emerging East Cooee target area, where the company has already reported intercepts of high grade nickel sulphides, sees Lunnon Metals ideally placed to benefit from the improving nickel price environment for this key forward facing metal.
