Special Report: Holistic wellness company Wellness & Beauty Solutions has teamed up with two social media stars to promote its retail brands.
Wellness and Beauty Solutions (ASX:WNB) knows that social media can be a powerful sales tool, especially for consumer brands.
That’s why WNB, through its wholly-owned subsidiary The Giving Brands Company (GBCo), is teaming up with high profile social influencers – paying them in shares as part of an ambassador agreement to help boost sales of its leading beauty products.
The company has announced new partnerships with Australian fashion model Natalie Roser and presenter and former rugby league player Kris Smith.
Roser has more than one million followers on Instagram alone, with another 30,000 on Facebook. Smith, who is also a Myer ambassador, adds another 145,000 followers to the mix and enabling WNB to target its core demographics.
It has not yet been announced which brands Natalie and Kris will represent but this news is expected to be released in the near future. GBCo currently has products under the Breathe therapeutic, Jbronze and Nail Kalm brands in market and will launch a brand-new range of cosmetics under the iconic ELLE magazine brand later this year.
Kris Smith said he was looking forward to kicking off the collaboration.
“Health and wellbeing has been a huge part of my life for over 25 years now, so the opportunity to partner with this new innovative company whose focus is exactly that, is a real honour.”
As part of their agreement with WNB the influencers will be issued 2,000,000 fully paid ordinary shares at an issue price of $0.05, escrowed for 12 months.
This is the second announcement released by WNB in the last week, following on from the official news that WNB was extending its relationship with Lagardère to bring ELLE branded products to market.
Under the four-year arrangement, WNB will design, produce and retail three product ranges; ELLE Colour Cosmetics, ELLE Kids and ELLE Baby and these will be launched later this year.
“GBCo has a number of beauty and wellness brands under development, and due for launch in 2H 2019. Signing ambassadors with the professional acumen and strong social media pedigree such as Kris and Natalie, is a real coup for the Group,” said WNB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ms Christine Parkes.
“Kris and Natalie are highly professional and have shown a genuine integrity and willingness to work with GBCo to create and build our brands. They are committed both to building brand value for the Group,” said Ms Parkes.
