EZZ Life Science has inked a deal with global luxury duty-free retailer DFS catering to a resurgence of Chinese visitors to Australia following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Genomic life science company EZZ Life Science (ASX:EZZ) has firmly established itself in the thriving Chinese consumer market by providing top-tier Australian beauty and personal care products.
Before the covid-19 pandemic, China was the largest and most valuable inbound traveller market for the Australian economy.
The Australian Government says in 2019, more than 1.4 million holiday makers from China spent $2.1 billion in Australia, including about $581 million spent by ADS group travel participants.
While the pandemic temporarily disrupted the flow of visitors from China, the recent decision by the Australian Government to reintroduce group travel visas for Chinese visitors signifies a robust revival in numbers.
The Australian Government says since borders reopened in March this year, the steady return of international visitors from China has seen it climb back to be our second largest inbound traveller market. It is anticipated that visitor numbers will soon return to pre-pandemic levels.
EZZ’s core focus has been on genomic health and developing a product pipeline of healthcare solutions based on genomics research.
The company’s health supplements, health food, haircare, children’s health, and probiotics under the brand EZZ.
It also has exclusive distribution rights for the EAORON brand of skin care products to pharmacies, supermarkets and specialist retailers in Australia and New Zealand.
The partnership with DFS is set to usher in a new era for EZZ, as its product range becomes accessible at the DFS flagship Sydney store.

The DFS partnership aligns with EZZ’s broader omnichannel distribution strategy, including on eBay, Amazon Australia, and partnerships with more than 700 pharmacies.
The company also recently announced a recent collaboration with the online marketplace of Chemist Warehouse, Australia’s largest pharmacy retailer.
