Stock analysis veteran and lover of the energy stocks game, Peter Strachan, is putting aside the charts and picking up the microphone for another instalment of The Wildcatter Podcast.

In this episode Peter chats with Simon Hackett – a new technology, communications and battery storage systems entrepreneur and philanthropist.

He built Internode into Australia’s largest privately owned internet service provider before it was sold to ASX-listed company iiNet in 2011, later serving on the iiNet Board until it was in turn sold to TPG.

The entrepreneur is a passionate and self confessed technology Geek with a passion for electric vehicles, who sees a roadmap to a low-carbon power and transport network.

Simon remains the largest shareholder of flow battery maker Redflow (ASX:RFX).

So tune in below to hear the pair discuss the future of battery technology in Australia, specifically its pivotal role in household energy and grid systems.
