D3 Energy is a company focused on developing natural gas and helium assets in the Free State of South Africa. D3E is one of very view companies listed recently having just completed a successful drilling programme with an independently certified 2C Contingent resource and gas production from its first appraisal well.

World class measured helium concentrations of more than 5% have been measured across large parts of the portfolio with methane the principal other gas component. Methane (natural gas) is a much sort after resource in energy starved South Africa with early access to market through D3E’s largest shareholder.

Helium is a critical gas for the 21st Century with demand significantly outstripping supply resulting in the cost for helium at record levels. Prices have increased at 18% per annum over the last 5 years with US spot prices commonly US$1000 and as high as $2500/mcf.

    David has over 30 years experience in the management and evaluation of all aspects of the energy business. He was the Managing Director and CEO of Eastern Star Gas Limited (ESG) growing the company from modest beginnings (~$40M) to an ASX 200 company until it was ultimately taken over by Santos Limited for A$924 million. David was formerly the Managing Director of Galilee Energy (ASX:GLL) and Talon Energy (TPD), and CEO Australia and Asia Pacific at Warrego Energy Limited (WGO).
