Top 10 highlights the best (and sometimes worst) performing ASX stocks in morning trade using live, fresh out of the deep-fryer data.

It’s a short, sharp update to help frame the trading day by showing the biggest movers in percentage terms.

The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every ASX stock has started trading.

The Aussie Bourse has fallen in opening trade, down 0.43% and setting a new 100-day low. Overnight Wall Street had a significant sell-off with the Dow plummeting by 431 points, erasing its gains for 2023 as US 10-year bond yields continue to rise reaching  4.8%.

The Australian dollar has also tumbled more than 1%, briefly falling below US63 cents.

All sectors except utilities are in the red so far today.

Alpha HPA (ASX:A4N) is up this morning after providing a positive update on its high purity alumina HPA First Project in Gladstone, Queensland, which seeks to commercialise its proprietary aluminium purification and refining technology.

A4N has been progressing a project finance debt facility to be joint funded by Australian Government financing agencies the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) and Export Finance Australia (EFA).
