Special Report: The deal will give Greenhouse’s 4,000-strong customer base direct access to Xref’s market leading reference-check software.

Recruitment tech company Xref Limited (ASX: XF1) has continued its successful push into the US market, announcing a new strategic partnership with Greenhouse.

Founded in 2012, New York-headquartered Greenhouse is a market leader in recruitment-based software as a service (SaaS).

The business has completed a series of funding rounds which give it “tech unicorn” status with an implied valuation of more than $US1bn.

Serving a customer base of more than 4,000 which includes some of the world’s largest companies, the Greenhouse platform offers the ideal access point for Xref’s best-in-class employee reference-check software.

The integration will allow Greenhouse clients to “request and monitor the progress of Xref reference checks, directly from their Greenhouse Recruiting dashboard”, Xref said.

The partnership was formed in response to client demand from Greenhouse customers, who needed a better solution for candidate verification requirements.

Under the terms of the agreement, users will be able to gain insights and add value via Xref’s reference-check software, all without leaving the Greenhouse platform.

Greenhouse co-founder Jon Stross said the benefits of the partnership were obvious in connection with the natural evolution of the recruitment industry.

“Partnering with Xref offers our mutual customers a fast-track process to gather high-quality candidate insights and make educated hiring decisions in a fraction of the time,” Stross said.

A spokesperson for global advertising agency WPP – already a client of both companies – highlighted how the combined service offering would bring greater ease and speed to the firm’s hiring process.

The partnership with Greenhouse is also evidence of Xref’s ability to gain traction in the huge US market, where the benefits of its SaaS-based marketing platform can be fully realised.

The integration with Greenhouse “presents another fantastic opportunity for us to increase our presence in the North American region”, Xref CEO Lee-Martin Seymour said.

“Partnering with smart, leading software platforms continues to be a major strategic focus for Xref,” added executive director Tim Griffiths.

“Integrating with big industry names, like Greenhouse, is always a huge achievement for us. Our teams have worked exceptionally well together to produce an integration that is truly seamless and will offer the best user experience.”
