Special Report: Weebit Nano is up more than 17% today after reporting the kind of quarter that gets investors leaning forward including record customer receipts, three companies integrating its ReRAM tech, and a major manufacturing milestone at onsemi’s production fab.
In a strong start to the new financial year Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT) booked its best-ever quarter in customer receipts of $7.3 million for Q1 FY26.
Add in $4.1m from a 2024 R&D tax rebate in France and the company finished the quarter with a strong $91.6m cash balance.
WBT said revenues were expected to keep building as new licensing and design agreements were signed, alongside milestone-based payments from existing customers.
On the spend side, R&D expenses were $2m and payments to related parties (including directors’ fees and the CEO’s payroll) totalled $302,000.
Product target achieved
WBT is taking a lead role in next-generation memory technology with its Resistive Random Access Memory (ReRAM) promising faster, more energy-efficient data storage for computers, mobile devices and emerging electronics.
The company has IP licensing agreements with several leading fabs and Integrated Device Manufacturers (IDMs), including onsemi, a Fortune 500 company and Tier-1), and South Korean foundry DB HiTek.
During the quarter, WBT also made in-roads across a range of key areas, including achieving its 2025 product company target with its NVM IP to be used in next-generation products by three US-based customers.
Under agreements, Weebit ReRAM IP will be integrated into security-related and smart battery management applications.
The company says it is continuing to engage with potential product customers and discussions are supported by ongoing technical progress at DB HiTek and onsemi.

Major milestone with onsemi
In September, WBT achieved a key technical milestone with onsemi, successfully taping-out (released to manufacturing) the first test chips embedded with its ReRAM at onsemi’s 300mm production fab.
WBT’s ReRAM is expected to feature in the company’s next-generation products with the test chips being produced on onsemi’s 65nm BCD Treo platform, ideal for high-temperature automotive, industrial and data-centre applications.
The taped-out chips will be used for final testing and qualification, expected in 2026.
Technology qualification at DB HiTek 130nm BCD process is also continuing to progress with completion targeted by the end of 2025.
Once qualified, DB HiTek customers will be able to integrate Weebit ReRAM into their SoCs for enhanced performance across a range of applications.
ReRAM is increasingly viewed as the NVM of choice for next-generation applications, supporting Weebit’s commercial discussions with more than a dozen foundries, IDMs and product companies.
‘Several competitive advantages’
WBT CEO Coby Hanoch said the company had an exceptionally strong start to FY26, ticking several key boxes as growing global interest in ReRAM underscored the strength of Weebit’s position.
“The strategic importance of ReRAM as a next-generation non-volatile memory continues to grow, highlighted recently by GlobalFoundries launching its own ReRAM technology,” he said.
“This has sent a strong signal to the market that ReRAM is now a must have offering for fabs with very few having the resources to develop this complex technology in-house.
He said the majority of fabs and IDMs would use external licensing partners to accelerate time-to-market – providing a significant opportunity for Weebit Nano as the only independent ReRAM provider with qualified technology ready for production.
“As a pureplay ReRAM company, Weebit is first to market with several competitive advantages including suitability for high-temperature automotive applications and the ability to customise solutions.”
