Special Report: BrainChip — the only pure-play ASX-listed artificial intelligence company — has been busy quietly ramping up the commercialisation of its product suite.

With more than a decade of research and development behind it, BrainChip (ASX:BRN) is a leading developer of software and hardware accelerated solutions for advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications.

Its flagship product is BrainChip Studio — an AI-powered video analytic software suite delivering high-speed object search and facial classification for law enforcement, counterterrorism and intelligence agencies.

“Its unmatched ability to identify patterns in even grainy, low-quality images, as well as its low power consumption and fast processing speeds, make it ideal for law enforcement agencies,” BrainChip President and CEO Louis DiNardo said.

BrainChip’s technology — based on the science of spiking neural networks and designed to mimic the function of the human brain — is already in use by law enforcement agencies for anti-terrorism and public safety in Europe.

BrainChip is actively engaged with law enforcement agencies in North America, Australia and Asia.

After completing executive staffing in 2017, the company has begun to commercialise its products through joint development, licensing and revenue sharing agreements with original equipment manufacturing (OEM) partnerships and end-user engagements.

Several new collaborations with Gaming Products (NASDAQ: GPIC), Quantum Corporation (NASDAQ:QTM) and Veritone (NASDAQ:VERI) have the potential to generate between $US25 million and $US50 million in total annual revenue across gaming, enterprise storage and cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.

The company’s approach to market engagements through OEMs provides a highly scalable and highly profitable business model.

The total served available market for BrainChip’s suite of products is expected to be more than $US7 billion by 2022.

This is a small part of the good news surrounding the company.

There is also the recent announcement of a Director of Sales in Europe, Luis Coello; the delivery of its technology to a major European car maker; and the development of a revolutionary Neural Network System-on-Chip (NSoC), which addresses challenging requirements in enterprise and cloud based data analytics, as well as edge applications where AI is increasingly becoming a must-have feature.

Brainchip’s flagship product is BrainChip Studio — AI-powered video analytic software.
