Sprintex prepares to debut new energy efficient wastewater blower

  • The G26 is energy efficient, compact and quiet compared to competitors
  • SIX expects increased demand for its clean energy technology
  • Production of the G15 range begins in October, followed by the G26 in November
  • The G26 will debut at Dubai’s WETEX Sustainability Event in November

Sprintex has completed testing, validation and benchmarking for its innovative new G26 (25kW) stand-alone turbo-blower designed for wastewater aeration and industrial applications.

The company develops and manufactures clean air compressors for use in a wide range of applications, including combustion engines superchargers, hydrogen fuel cells and wastewater treatment.

Back in July, Sprintex (ASX:SIX) raised $1.3m to purchase production equipment and parts inventory for its recently completed range of e-compressors and industrial blowers, with the aim of accelerating the rollout of initial production at 15,000 units a year to meet the expected increase in global demand for clean energy technology.

The new G26 turbo-blower certainly stands out for energy efficiency.

With an impressive 80,000-hour service life, it saves 20% in energy during steady state operation and a remarkable 30% energy reduction during smart pulse aeration operation (when compared to competing products in similar applications).

The G26 is also compact and quiet, and 1/3 of the weight of competitors products – reducing its physical and carbon footprint.

This leads to a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and quicker cost payback, the company says.

“We are buoyed by recent interest from our competitors in the wastewater industry, approaching us to collaborate or simply to distribute our products, recognising the efficiency advances that our products offer in this industry segment,” Sprintex managing director Jay Upton told Stockhead.

“We are expecting significant growth in the coming quarter.”

Gearing up for high-volume production

Sprintex is already in the process of implementing advanced production equipment at its E- compressor division to facilitate the high-volume production and sales of the advanced G-series industrial and wastewater blower range.

This range includes the recently introduced G15 in both 3kW and 5.5kW versions, as well as the new larger G26, catering to a broader spectrum of system manufacturers and end users.

The company will focus its initial production capabilities on the more mature markets for wastewater treatment and general-purpose industrial compressors and blowers due to its expectation of major and increasing revenue streams from these sectors.

Debut at Dubai sustainability event

Production of the G15 range is set to commence in October, with the G26 following in November.

Sprintex is actively rolling out the marketing campaign for the new product line and is gearing up to participate in the WETEX Environmental Sustainability event in Dubai, UAE, scheduled for mid-November.

“This event, which draws approximately 50,000 attendees and features around 2000 exhibitors, offers an excellent platform for showcasing these ground-breaking products,” the company said.
