Special Report: Sezzle has seen rapid growth in active customers since launching in 2017.

Sezzle (ASX:SZL) has reached the 1m active customer milestone, following rapid growth in customers and merchants using its payment platform since launch in August 2017.

“The entire team at Sezzle is extremely proud to have quickly reached this milestone”, said cofounder and chief revenue officer Paul Paradis.

“Having launched Sezzle with Charlie Youakim less than three years ago and to now be partnering with 1m customers in North America is a huge operational achievement. It is a testament to our customers’ growing demands for an alternative to credit card payments and the ease of using Sezzle.”

Sezzle is a technology driven, payments company with the mission of financially empowering the next generation. It provides a payments platform that facilitates fast, secure and easy payments between consumers and retailers.

Sezzle’s payment product is a short-term, interest-free instalment plan that delivers to consumers both a budgeting and financing value proposition.

The Sezzle Platform allows end-customers to make online purchases and effectively split the payment for the purchase over four equal, interest free, payments over six weeks.

“Sezzle secured its 500,000th customer two years after launching but our next 500,000 customers – and our millionth customer – came very quickly, joining Sezzle in less than a quarter of that time,” said Paradis.

“The company has very positive momentum and the bulk of these new customers came in the December Quarter which saw a very strong Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales event and the number of Active Merchants exceed 10,000. We expect our strong growth to continue.”
