Nexion’s partnership with NetApp marks the third US tech giant to have selected the company as a partner in the region.

Nexion Group (ASX:NNG) has been chosen by San Jose-based and global Fortune 500 company NetApp as its partner in Australia & New Zealand for the NetApp Keystone Storage-as-a-Service solutions product.

The partnership will aim to drive the regional adoption of NetApp Keystone, a pay-as-you-go solution for hybrid cloud environments.

The Keystone solution was designed to deliver greater agility, financial flexibility, and reduced financial risk for customers that manage large volumes of data.

Nexion says that it also gives customers a clear, easy-to-understand path forward for acquiring and consuming data storage capacity, while reducing the complexities associated with technology lifecycle management.

The agreement with NetApp represents the third US global technology company to have selected Nexion as its principal partner in the region, which further enhances the global hybrid cloud ecosystem Nexion is creating.

The other two US global companies to have partnered with Nexion are IBM Global Technology Services (IBM GTS), and Aryaka.

“Our partnership with NetApp will allow us to tap into a global community of new and existing NetApp customers that want storage-as-a-service delivered in the ANZ market,” said Paul Glass, CEO and founder of Nexion.

“Since listing on the ASX in February 2021, Nexion has completed agreements with three global tech leaders, in three different fields of technology,” he added.

“These strategic relationships put us ahead in the local market and firmly underpin our global expansion strategy.”

A global player in enterprise IT Managed Services market

NetApp Keystone delivers a hybrid cloud experience using one orchestration tool for creating, provisioning, migrating, and managing storage on-premise or in the cloud.

The platform essentially lowers the barriers to entry and reduces storage costs for enterprises by offering a subscription service with automatic data-tiering.

Global consultant Gartner predicts that by 2025, more than 70% of corporate enterprise-grade storage capacity will be deployed as consumption-based services such as NetApp Keystone.

This puts Nexion in prime position as it is the first hosting partner to deliver the Keystone platform in the region.

“Customers require ever-increasing amounts of storage and by working with NetApp, we’re able to provide local hosting and support as part of our Hybrid Cloud services,” commented Glass.

“We’re thrilled to drive the adoption of this first-of-its-kind, Storage-as-a-Service offering in this region.”

Neville James, director channel & alliances of NetApp ANZ, says that Keystone is essentially the bridge that connects the pillars of the hybrid cloud strategy.

“It delivers agility, financial flexibility, and reduced financial risk, so that customers can meet their cash flow and business needs,” James said.

Nexion has gone to work early and already won multiple NetApp Keystone deals with an aggregate contract value of $367K with customers across various industries.

With this latest partnership, the company is cementing its place in the competitive global market for cloud services, and fast becoming a global contender in the enterprise IT Managed Services market.
