Special Report: Codeifai has bolstered its leadership with appointment of former Nvidia AI and machine learning specialist Rafael Possas to its recently formed strategic advisory panel, as the company accelerates its push into quantum-secure technologies.
Possas – who also played a key role in developing Amazon’s Alexa and now serves as principal machine learning engineer at Canva – brings deep expertise in applied AI, robotics and conversational systems.
Holding a PhD in machine learning and robotics from the University of Sydney, Possas is regarded as a pioneer in applied AI.
He brings deep expertise in robotics, cloud-based machine learning, and conversational AI.
At Nvidia he advanced robotic simulation and model deployment, contributing to published research, and strengthening system reliability through rigorous engineering practices.
As principal data scientist at Intellify, Possas led major machine learning projects for clients such as British American Tobacco and Vodafone, mentoring teams and helping the firm secure AWS Partner of the Year.
In his role at Canva, the AI expert is focused on building intelligent conversational experiences to boost user engagement.
Appointment aligns with Codeifai’s push into quantum-secure tech
The appointment of Possas comes at a pivotal time for Codeifai (ASX:CDE) as it nears completion of its acquisition of the AntennaTransfer.io platform.
To be renamed QuantumAI Secure, the company said the acquisition would mark a significant turning point in Codeifai’s trajectory toward AI and quantum security.
The platform boasts next-generation quantum-encryption tech that facilitates secure payments, file transfers and digital communications, integrating proprietary post-quantum cryptography (PQC) with AI-optimised encryption architecture.
Codeifai’s strategic advisory panel now includes four highly skilled industry experts from leading global tech companies. Along with Possas the panel includes:
- Toni Timonen – OpenAI, member of technical team
- Helen Chen – WhatsApp Inc, head of product strategy
- Marcel Thiess – Binance, country lead (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
The members bring decades of collective experience and commercialisation success across fintech, AI research, blockchain and cryptocurrency innovation, quantum computing and global-scale messaging systems.
Codeifai noted their appointments reflect strong confidence in the company’s strategic direction and growing urgency for secure, quantum-resilient technologies.
The panel will work closely with the executive team to help steer integration of the company’s new platform and drive its go-to-market execution.
Roadmap to drive growth
As part of its next growth phase, Codeifai is pursuing a multi-phase roadmap that includes:
- Quantum-AI fusion – combining the predictive power of AI with quantum security to create intelligent, adaptive platforms
- Product expansion – launching a new suite of AI-driven, quantum-secure products for finance, identity verification, and smart contracts
- Partnership development – forming strategic alliances with institutions and research labs focused on emerging technologies
- Complementary acquisitions – Identifying and acquiring synergistic startups aligned with Codeifai’s long-term mission
Subject to future shareholder approval, Possas will be granted 800,000 options in Codeifai, vesting on his six-month anniversary with the company.
These include four tranches of 200,000 options each, exercisable at 15 cents, 20 cents, 25 cents, and 30 cents respectively, all expiring 12 months from their date of issue.
